5KM / 3.1 Miles or 10KM / 6.2 Miles

What is the schedule of events for the day?

10.00am Mascot Race
10.15am 25 Meters - Tots Race (0-4years)
10.30am 100 Meters - Kidz Race (5-10years)
10.45am 3K - Active Race (11-15years)
11.00am Warm Up - All 5K & 10K runners
11.15am 5K & 10K - Wellness (16years plus)

Can I enter on the day?

Unfortunately you cannot enter on the day. Registration will close at 12.00 midnight on Friday 27 June 2008

Do I have to run the course?

Run it, Walk it, Crawl it, be part of it.....

Can someone take my place?

No, for health and safety reasons, we need to ensure that we have all our runners personal and next of kin details

Can I bring supporters?

The Wellness 5k & 10k run is not just a running event. There will be other activities for everyone to enjoy, face painting, penalty shoot outs and other sporting challenges. The more people you would like to bring along to support you the better, or why not get them to compete in the event with you?

Is there an area for spectators?

I know many of you will bring people to support you and cheer you on. The stadiums seating in the home straight is the ideal place for your supporters to go or alternatively if the weathers great they can place a blanket on the ground on the stadium pitch grass and relax! And don't forget to bring camera's - make sure you're family & friends capture a snap of you crossing the finish line...as many great athletes will have passed before you!

Do you allow pushchairs / prams?

Due to health and safety reason these items are not permitted on the course

Do you record everyone's finish times and placement?

Yes, but only for the 5K and 10K race, not for the children's events. The results will be available on the website 72 hours after the event

Are dogs and other pets allowed on the course?

For health and safety reasons pets are not permitted on the course

Is there parking?

There is a limited amount of parking available on the day. However we do recommend that where possible people arrive by public transport and car share if they do drive

How do I get my race number?

You will collect your race number on the day from the designated registration area. This will be open on the day of the event from 8.00am and will close at 10.45am

Are there changing facilities?

Due to the limited access at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, there is a changing area and toilets available, however it will be used by people at the centre venue for other events

Are there catering facilities?

There will be small section of light refreshments for bother runners and spectators to purchase

Is there water on the course?

Water will be available free to runners both throughout the course and after the event

Do I receive a medal?

Everyone who completes the race will receive a medal

Are there prizes for the winners?

We do not hand out prizes for the winners in each event, however once you have completed the course, if you place your running number in the prize draw box, you will have the chance to win a range of prizes

How do I train for the event?

Why not try our 5K and 10K training programme.

What do I need to bring with me on the day?

4 safety pins for your running number
Suitable running attire and post race attire

What time do I need to arrive?

We recommend that you arrive at least 45 minutes prior to the start of your event so you have plenty of time to register and collect your race number

Is there anywhere I can store my baggage and personal belongings?

Unfortunately there is no secure area for storage of personal items at the event

All events generate a lot of rubbish, there will be plenty of bins available, please help us by disposing of your litter wisely. All litter will be picked up and recycled where possible
